First - the unit fully loaded ( enough for a 3 unit bridge) holds 1.6 oz of material. 1.6 oz is the amount that you waste alone in the shaft of a standard impression tip, so you are using almost half the material to do the same impression with the BFC. In many cases, even less, as you pre-load the BFC to the indivual case. 2 unit bridge? - just load less material - and save more material costs.
The BFC is easier to use in 2 ways. 1- Its 1/4 the size of a impression gun, tip and light body tip, so you are using this right at/in the mouth, rather than 4 or 5" away behind an impression gun. 2- It has a built in small multi directional tip which pushes the material down and into the sulcus, eliminating bubbles and voids, and the need for costly re-takes And most importantly , the whole BFC costs about 1/2 the price of standard tips.
