The Paul Banditt "BANDITOME" is a luxating type dental surgical instrument designed for use in extraction of teeth. The Banditome can either be used by hand or by mallet and is coated with a slick titanium coating to allow easier entrance between the tooth and the Periodontal ligament ( PDL) . The thinner sharpened tips allow the instrument to be inserted closely into this space to break the contact between the tooth and the PDL. Used in an up and down motion, the PDL is severed and space is created to allow a similarly shaped elevator access to now elevate the tooth. Use of The Banditome, with its Ti-coated sharpened tips allows for extraction that is less invasive with minimal trauma to the surrounding tissue and bone which helps lower the risk of complications, is more comfortable for your patient and is more efficient in the process of tooth extraction.
